Your Contribution to the Official Prescribed Burn Plan

Your First Officer has tracked your learning journey throughout this activity from a team and an individual perspective, and has cause to offer congratulations! You have provided your brigade with the critical information required to the produce the final official Prescribed Burn Plan that must be lodged with Firecom before this prescribed burn can take place.

You have demonstrated evidence of your skill in using a range of Wildfire Prediction Tools and the ability to interpret this data to acheive successful prescribed burn outcomes. You are therefore now invited to contribute your knowledge to the finalisation of the official Prescribed Burn Plan with your First and Senior Officers.

Your First Officer (using Google Earth via a laptop, a data projector and a projection screen) will project an interactive Google Earth map of the burn site onto the projection screen and seek your advice and input (still adopting your team/sector perspective) to finalise the prescribed burn plan for submission to Firecom.

You will undertake this prescribed burn with your brigade at the date specified on the official Prescribed Burn Plan and will have an invaluable opportunity to witness the direct results of your contribution.

THANK YOU!

I thank you for your participation in this Learning Activity and hope that you enjoyed the journey.
The skills that you now possess are in immediate demand by your brigade. Enjoy the deserved sense of pride and satisfaction you will experience knowing that you have made a valuable contribution to your brigade and your community.
