Your team is now required to present your VoiceThread Burn Plan (via a laptop, data projector and projection screen provided by your Training Officer) to your First Officer and fellow brigade members at the next brigade meeting.
Your burn plan will be subjected to comment and question. Your First Officer is looking for evidence within your VoiceThread presentation and in your response to the questions that you have achieved the following:
Demonstrated evidence of an understanding of the fundamentals of Wildfire Behaviour.
Demonstrated your knowledge of the core function of a range of Wildfire Prediction Tools.
Demonstrate skill and confidence in using these instruments to obtain a range of data.
Demonstrated the ability to communicate and work in a team.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret this data to determine successful fire management outcomes.
Your First Officer, and other brigade Officers will offer suggestion and comment to help refine your burn plan. This input you will find invaluable for the final stage of this Learning Activity.
